Dollars for Degrees Benefit Concert with E-40, April 27

Renowned hip-hop artist E-40 will perform at Delta College, Thursday, April 27, 8pm at Atherton Auditorium for a benefit concert supporting student scholarships and success.

E-40 is considered the “rapper’s rapper,” and has been a staple of Bay Area rap since the early 90's. He is a founding member of the rap group The Click, and founder of his own label, Sick Wid It Records. The prolific E-40 has released 27 studio albums and appeared on numerous movie soundtracks.

The Associated Students of Delta College (ASDC) is hosting their first annual Dollars for Degrees Benefit Concert to address student drop-out and stop-out rates. Net proceeds will be used to provide tuition and book scholarships to Delta College students pursuing AA/AS degrees, or transfer degrees to a four-year colleges or universities.

ASDC President Alyssa Leiva is excited about this new scholarship venture. “By hosting this benefit concert with a national artist like E-40, the ASDC hopes to assist Delta students’ financial needs while presenting a fun and entertaining way for the community to support positive student outcomes. Support student success at the Dollars for Degrees Concert!”

Attendees must be 18 or older. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door (additional fees apply).
