Head Add Goalie Ryan Faragher on Pro Tryout

Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Heat, proud AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announced today that the club has added goaltender Ryan Faragher on a professional tryout.

Faragher, 27, in in his first season with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL after beginning his pro career within the Anaheim Ducks system, spending time with the Ducks ECHL affiliate, the Utah Grizzlies, and with their AHL clubs in Norfolk and in San Diego. This season in Idaho, Faragher has suited up in 20 games and has posted a 10-7-1 record with 2 shutouts, a 2.77 goals-against-average and a 0.902 save-percentage.  Faragher also spent time with the Stockton Heat during last season’s training camp.

The Heat return home to start a weekend series with the San Jose Barracuda starting this Friday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. during Teacher Appreciation Night, where we say thank you to educators in our community by offering FREE tickets to the game. Teachers can pick up their tickets by visiting stocktonheat.com/teacher or by presenting their School ID to the Stockton Arena Ticket Office on Friday.

Then on Saturday, the Heat host San Jose at 6:00 p.m. for our second annual Safety Night presented by City Rise Safety along with Law Enforcement Appreciation Night. The first 1,000 fans to enter Stockton Arena will receive Heat sunglasses courtesy of City Rise Safety! It’s also Hockey Night in Stockton presented by Budweiser, where fans over the age of 21 can purchase a Bud & Burger combo for just $15.
