Heat Announce Promotional Schedule for the 2018-19 Season



STOCKTON, CALIF. – The Stockton Heat, proud AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, today announced the team’s promotional and giveaway schedule for the 2018-19 season.

“While crafting this year’s promotional schedule we wanted to ensure that each game was a new and unique experience helping fans create long-lasting memories at Heat hockey games,” Heat Director of Ticket Sales Mark Hicks said. “With some of our fan-favorite events like Teddy Bear Toss and Star Wars Night returning, we also have mixed in new events and giveaways that we know will become favorites like our Harry Potter Sock Toss Night, Mardi Gras Night, BBQ Apron giveaway and much more!  In fact, we’re excited to offer every fan in attendance this year a giveaway item on our designated giveaway nights, something we have never done before.”

Returning for the 2018-19 season are Fry Day’s presented by Golden State Restaurant Group McDonald’s during every Friday home game, where fans can eat at nearly 30 participating McDonald’s locations and receive a buy one, get one free ticket offer at the box office!

Saturday Nights are always Hockey Night in Stockton presented by Budweiser, where fans can enjoy a Bud and Burger for just $14 in the Arena!  Fans will also be invited to come down to Stockton Arena early for the hottest party in town! The Heat Zone Pregame Parties will begin outside on Ring Road behind Stockton Arena at 4:00 p.m. on select Saturday games this season!  With live music, food, beverages, games and more, every Heat Zone Pregame Party is open to the public on October 6, November 3, December 8, January 19, February 16 and March 2.

Sunday’s will continue to be about the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4! Fans can purchase $1 sodas, $2 hot dogs and $3 Rita’s Italian Ice and an In-Shape Health Club 4-Pack of tickets during every Sunday home game for a savings of up to $24!

New this season are our “Wear It Wednesday” games, where fans are encouraged to wear particular items to the box office for $5 off your ticket.  This year, fans can wear their Halloween costumes on October 31, ugly holiday sweaters on December 19, your favorite pro football gear on January 9 and your favorite college or alma mater on April 10.  Fans can also enjoy $4 bottomless popcorn on all four Wednesday night games!

The Heat will begin the fun on the final day of September for a Preseason Party where all fans in attendance receive Heat Stadium Cups. Hockey returns for the regular season in October with the Heat hosting four October home games, highlighted by the Home Opener on October 6 where fans will receive Heat Rally Towels presented by the Stockton Metropolitan Airport and Magnetic Schedules presented by Chase Chevrolet, Hispanic Heritage Night on October 13, Team Photo Giveaway Night presented by Ray Morgan Company on October 20 where all fans can stick around after the game to and collect autographs from the team, and our first “Wear It Wednesday” on Halloween.

November 3 sees the return on Heat Hockey Fights Cancer presented by Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where we’ll raise money for St. Joseph’s Foundation through a portion of ticket, jersey and silent auction sales to help those in our community who are fighting the disease.  Plus, fans will receive “I Fight For” cards presented by Ray Morgan Company upon entering the Arena and cancer ribbon magnets as fans leave the building that night.  We’ll host another canned food drive on November 9 where fans can receive a FREE ticket to the game by donating five canned food items and continue the community good will on November 16 by celebrating our community’s educators during Teacher Appreciation Night.  November 25 will be fans first chance to save big with the In-Shape Health Club 4-Pack and we’ll conclude the month with our first Harry Potter Sock Toss Night on November 30, where fans are encouraged to bring new packages of socks to the game and when the Heat score their first goal, toss them onto the ice where they will be collected and donated.

A busy month of December begins with Hip Hop Night on December 1 where fans can celebrate one of the most popular and influential music genres in history and receive a “Straight Outta Stockton” T-Shirt.  Dust off your Zubaz, put your Starter Jacket on and blast “Mmmbop” on your way to 90’s Night on December 7 at Stockton Arena where we celebrate pop culture, fashion and music of the 1990’s and anyone who presents a state recognized identification card to the box office with a birthyear in the 1990’s receives $5 off their ticket!  The following night on December 8 we celebrate the brave men and women who serve our country during Military Appreciation Night with the team sporting special Military inspired jerseys that will be up for auction.  Fans will also receive a Heat camouflage hat upon entering Stockton Arena. We kick off the holidays on December 15 for Sing 4 Santa Night and keep the good tide rolling on December 19 for our second Wear It Wednesday where fans are encouraged to wear ugly holiday sweaters. The holiday season concludes with our Kid’s New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31 where fans will receive Bam Bam Sticks to help cheer the Heat on and can choose to stick around after the game ends for a postgame, on-ice fireworks display!

The New Year of hockey begins on January 4 for Autism Awareness Night presented by 51 Fifty, followed by Western Night and Pucks & Paws Night on January 5. Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the Arena with fans receiving a Heat bandana, perfect for under your cowboy hat or your pooch!  It’s another Wear It Wednesday on January 9 where we get ready for Super Bowl season by encouraging fans to wear their favorite NFL team’s gear and follow that up by encouraging fans to dress as their favorite heroes during Superhero Night and Diabetes Awareness Night presented by Jackson Rancheria on January 12 with fans taking home a caped drawstring bag. The Heat will also wear special superhero themed jerseys that will be auctioned off during and after the game. We find out if our lofty goal of 10,000 bears happens when the popular Teddy Bear Toss returns on January 19 where fans toss stuffed animals onto the ice after the team scores their first goal of the night.  Just before the All-Star break, the Heat host their final home game of the month on January 21, celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day in a 1:00 p.m. game where fans will receive a Mayor Michael Tubbs Bobblehead sporting his love for the Stockton Heat, Ports and Kings!

February kicks off on the first day with LEGO/STEM night where kids can learn about the importance of science, technology, engineering and math with Bricks 4 Kids.  That’s followed by our third annual Safety Night presented by City Rise Safety and Law Enforcement Appreciation Night on February 16 with fans receiving a Heat BBQ apron upon entering Stockton Arena.  The following day on February 17 we celebrate Stockton’s religious diversity with Faith and Family Night by inviting local churches, temples, synagogues and youth groups out to celebrate their faith.  On February 24, the team will host a postgame Skate with the Team event open to the public with RSVP’s to take place closer to the date.

You won’t be in New Orleans on March 1 but it will certainly feel like it as Stockton Arena turns into Bourbon Street for our first ever Mardi Gras Night with fans receiving Mardi Gras Beads upon entering Stockton Arena.  Plus, the team will be wearing special Mardi Gras jerseys that will be auctioned off during and after the game. One of the biggest nights of the year returns on Friday with Star Wars Night on March 2 with our celebration of Star Wars and local members of the 501stLegion, Central California Garrison coming out to the Arena dressed as your favorite Star Wars characters!  In mid-March we travel back in time, celebrating 70’s Night on March 8 and 80’s Night on March 15!  Fans born in the 1970’s can receive $5 off their ticket by presenting their state recognized ID with a birthyear in the 1970’s while fans with a birthyear in the 1980’s can receive $5 off the same way during 80’s night. Stockton Heat Hockey Goes Green presented by Covantaon March 16 where fans can learn from environmentally friendly companies and receive a reusable tote bag.  Are you of the house of Lannister Targaryen or Stark? On March 22 we celebrate one of today’s biggest pop culture phenomenon during Game of Thrones Night before finishing the month of March off on the 24thwith our celebration of Stockton Ports Baseball during Stockton Ports Night where Heat players will wear the final specialty jersey of the season, paying tribute to our next-door neighbors!

The season concludes with two home games in April starting with our final Wear It Wednesday where fans are encouraged to wear their favorite college apparel to the game!  Finally, we celebrate you, the fans, for Fan Appreciation Night by handing out hundreds of different giveaway items and prizes throughout the game.
