Working Hard. Playing Harder! With the Heat this Season

STOCKTON, CALIF. – The Stockton Heat, proud AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, today announced the team’s 2018-19 season theme, “Working Hard. Playing Harder! Stockton Heat Hockey – Get Fired Up!”.

“‘Working Hard. Playing Harder!’ reflects what we’re about both on and off the ice,” Heat CEO Brian Petrovek said. “On the ice, a team that will be one of those hard-working clubs that opposing teams just don’t like to play.  Off the ice, providing an atmosphere with more live entertainment, an enhanced social and party-like atmosphere with family, friends, coworkers and group members in a ‘party hardy’ mindset for all ages at our home games at Stockton Arena.”

“This year, the energy at Stockton Arena will be unrivaled from years past.  It’s our commitment to our fans that there will be no better place to be than Heat hockey games from our opening night in October to the hoisting of a Calder Cup in June.”

During the 2017-18 season, the Heat began transitioning to a new way of presenting games to fans, who will now experience a more dramatic shift in the live entertainment product starting with the team’s Home Opener against the Ontario Reign on Saturday, October 6 at 6:00 p.m. and carrying through our biggest events throughout the season including Heat Hockey Fights Cancer on November 3, our Kid’s New Year’s Eve Celebration on December 31, Teddy Bear Toss on January 19, Safety Night on February 16 and Star Wars Night on March 2.

“Part of the fun is coming home with something you didn’t expect, from memories to prizes, and we intend to provide more of that to our fans than ever before,” Director, Game Operations Joe Tichy said. “It’s not only about competing for a championship, but about having a good time, through fresh, in-game entertainment and promotions, a new-look patron servicing team and a working hard, playing harder attitude!”

“Our goal is for our fans to make Stockton Arena a fun, party-like gathering place 34 times-a-year, plus playoffs, while keeping our focus on providing a fun, family-friendly environment to the community that only live entertainment can do”.

Fans can expect a wide variety of fun, high-energy music that gets you on your feet, integrating video content featuring the Heat roster, new in-game hosts, a revamped party deck and Heat Zone Pregame Parties and more.

Over the next three weeks, the team will announce six distinct elements of the home game experience, including the team’s promotional schedule (Aug. 10), ticket products (Aug. 13), food and beverage upgrades (Aug. 15), social responsibility commitment (Aug. 17), merchandise (Aug. 20) and specialty jerseys (Aug. 22).

There will be unprecedented access to Stockton Heat players during the 2018-19 season, giving fans and Heat365 Members a chance to get to know our players on a personal level.  There will be chances for fans to watch the Heat practice, five opportunities to meet Heat players after games along with a private Meet the Team Event for Full-Season Heat365 Members after Opening Night.

In addition, there will be a Full-Season Heat365 Skate with the Team and an additional skate for all fans in the New Year and additional Full-Season Heat365 Skills & Drills event along with a revamped BBQ and Team Awards event in the courtyard of the Waterfront Hotel next door to the Arena on April 2.
