25,000 Eggs to Fill Micke Grove Regional Park for Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Event date: 3/28/2026 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM Export event

One of San Joaquin County’s most beloved spring traditions is returning later this month, promising a morning packed with excitement, laughter and thousands of colorful eggs. The annual Micke Grove Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Micke Grove Regional Park in Lodi, welcoming families from across the region for a festive day outdoors.

The highlight of the event begins promptly at 11 a.m., when children will fan out across the park fields in search of 25,000 eggs filled with candy and small toys, making it one of the largest egg hunts in the area. The colorful spectacle has become a cherished tradition for many local families, drawing thousands of attendees each year.

Organizers from San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation have designed the event so that children of all ages can enjoy the fun. A special area will be reserved for children ages four and under and children with special needs, ensuring everyone has a chance to participate comfortably. Older children will have their own field to explore as they hunt for hidden treasures. Unlike competitive egg hunts, this event encourages children to search at their own pace, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere for families.

But the egg hunt is just the beginning of the celebration.

More than 25 local agencies and nonprofit organizations will host interactive booths throughout the park, offering family-friendly games, crafts and activities for visitors to enjoy. The event will also feature face painting, food trucks and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, turning the park into a lively spring festival.

Animal lovers will also have a chance to meet potential new furry family members, as Lodi Animal Services will be on site with adoptable animals looking for loving homes.

For many families, the Micke Grove Easter Egg Hunt is more than just an event—it’s a chance to celebrate the season, connect with neighbors and enjoy one of San Joaquin County’s beautiful parks together.

Because of park capacity, advance registration is required. The cost is $10.50 per vehicle, and families can register through San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation’s website, Facebook or Instagram pages.

Whether it’s a child’s first egg hunt or a yearly tradition, the Micke Grove Easter Egg Hunt promises a morning filled with springtime excitement, community spirit and plenty of sweet surprises.
