Stockton Ports Anchor Fund donates nearly $40,000 in 2013.
In a continued effort to support the San Joaquin Valley community, the Ports gave approximately $39,400 to local non-profits and more than $197,700 of in-kind donations, including over 25,000 tickets, to local charities and schools in 2013.
Honoring a tradition that was started in the 1820s at the Royal Institution, two Pacific chemistry professors dressed as 19th century chemists will carry out experiments that explode, change colors and delight an audience of all ages. The event is free and open to the public, but admission is limited. Tickets are available at the Pacific Box Office.

In December, the museum complex comes alive with both Christmas cheer and the stunning Festival of Trees! With more than 70 beautifully decorated unique Christmas trees, the San Joaquin County Historical Museum’s 22nd annual Festival of Trees is Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum (located in Micke Grove Park south of Lodi about one mile west of Highway 99 and south of Armstrong Road).

The Micke Grove Zoological Society invites visitors to brighten their holiday nights at the Micke Grove Zoo’s 25th Annual Zoo Lights, where sparkling lights and lighted animal silhouettes transform the Zoo into a winter wonderland. A benefit for the Micke Grove Zoo Education Department, the event runs from 5PM – 8PM on Friday through Sunday November 29 – December 1 and December 6 – 8 and includes games, crafts, entertainment, hay rides, treats, and a traditional Zoo Lights favorite: Santa’s Workshop.
