St. Basil Greek Food Festival Returns to Stockton for 67th Year

Event date: 9/11/2026 12:00 PM - 9/13/2026 10:00 PM Export event

Three-day celebration will feature homemade Greek cuisine, live music, dancing, family activities and a new selection of festival dishes.

Stockton residents can enjoy the food, music and traditions of Greece when the 67th Annual St. Basil Greek Food Festival returns September 11–13 to St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church.

Held throughout the church’s indoor and outdoor grounds at 920 W. March Lane, the popular community festival brings together Greek cuisine, baked goods, entertainment, shopping and activities for visitors of all ages. Proceeds from the event will benefit the ministries and charities of the Greek Orthodox Church.

Food remains the centerpiece of the weekend, with festival favorites including gyros, calamari, dolmades, pastitsio and loukoumades. New additions this year include souvlaki, a grilled pork skewer, and galaktoboureko, a traditional cream-filled phyllo pastry.

Guests can purchase meals from several food stations and dine outside in the festival pavilion or inside the church’s community hall. Freshly baked Greek breads and desserts—including koulourakia, karidopita and baklava—will also be available to enjoy during the festival or take home.

The celebration extends beyond the food. Visitors can browse the festival marketplace, while younger attendees enjoy activities in the Kid’s Zone. Greek music will fill the main stage throughout the weekend, featuring Kymata, described by organizers as one of the Bay Area’s premier Greek bands, along with dancing by Demetrios Arabatzis.

Shade coverings and misting stations will be available to help keep guests comfortable while they enjoy the outdoor festivities.
