Families across San Joaquin County are invited to celebrate fathers, father figures, and the important role they play in children’s lives at the 4th Annual FatherFest, taking place Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Victory Park in Stockton.
The free community event will bring together families for a day of fun, connection, entertainment, and resources designed to support strong families and positive father involvement.
Hosted by San Joaquin County Children’s Services, First 5 San Joaquin, Main Street Youth & Family Services, San Joaquin County Probation Department, and the Dear Dads Coalition, FatherFest has become a meaningful local celebration centered on fatherhood, family bonds, and community support.
“This event highlights the powerful role fathers and father figures have in shaping strong, healthy families,” said Akkia Pride-Polk, Deputy Director of San Joaquin County Children’s Services. “We’re excited to bring the community together to celebrate dads and provide resources that support their success.”
This year’s FatherFest will feature dad-and-kid games, live entertainment, hands-on activities, and access to local organizations offering parenting and family support resources. The event will also include an exciting Kids Zone sponsored by Dignity Health, giving children a fun space to play while families enjoy the day together.
FatherFest 2026 also serves as the kickoff to San Joaquin County’s Father Appreciation Week, which runs June 14 through June 20. The weeklong celebration will highlight the positive impact fathers and father figures have when they are actively involved in their children’s lives.
Research shows that involved fathers can help children build stronger social skills, improve school readiness, develop greater emotional security, and experience more positive long-term outcomes. FatherFest is designed to celebrate those contributions while connecting families with resources that can help dads continue to thrive.
Organizers hope the event will be both a celebration and a reminder that fatherhood matters—not only at home, but throughout the community.
FatherFest 2026 is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to come out, enjoy the activities, meet local organizations, and celebrate the dads and father figures who help make San Joaquin County families stronger.
