Looking for something fun, educational, and free to do with the family? Have guests coming into town and want to show off the area’s cultural highlights? The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library is thrilled to announce a great new service, “Discover & Go,” which provides library cardholders with FREE and discounted passes to local museums and other interesting and educational cultural institutions.
Discover & Go provides library cardholders residing in San Joaquin County with free passes to local museums and cultural institutions. Passes expire immediately after the reservation date – no returns required and no possibility for overdue fines. Customers can make reservations online by preferred date of excursion or by venue and print out a pass from home. If Internet access is not available, customers can reserve a pass by telephone or in person at any Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library branch.
City Library Chris Freeman says “With the Discover & Go program, patrons of Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library will now have free or reduced cost access to some of the finest museums and cultural attractions in their area and across the Bay Area. We are excited to provide another incredible service to our community.”
Libraries and museums make great partners as they both seek to spark interest and to encourage people to explore, challenge, and engage in the world in which they live. Discover & Go is available to library card members over the age of 16.
