San Joaquin Superior Court Selects New Court Commissioner - John Richard Soldati

The Judges of the Superior Court of California, County of San Joaquin, have announced the selection of Attorney John R. Soldati as the court’s newest commissioner. He fills the vacancy created by the recent appointment of Christine Eagle to a judgeship. Mr. Soldati will assume his new duties in approximately thirty days. Presiding Judge Jose L. Alva said that the Bench welcomes Mr. Soldati. According to Judge Alva, “Mr. Soldati’s extensive experience makes him exceptionally well qualified for the commissioner position. He is a hardworking, capable attorney, who has the temperament to fairly adjudicate the matters that will come before him. "

Prior to his appointment as a commissioner, Mr. Soldati owned and managed a successful law practice from 2006 to the present. His practice consisted of criminal and civil cases. He started his legal career with the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office where he worked from 1998 to 2006.

Mr. Soldati was admitted to the California State Bar in June 1988. Mr. Soldati received his Juris Doctorate, Order of the Coif, from McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from St. Mary’s College. Mr. Soldati said “I am honored by the Judges' selection of me. After being a prosecutor for eight years, and a private attorney for nine, I am looking forward to further serving the citizens of San Joaquin County in my new capacity.”
