Stockton 99 Speedway is ready to kick off Independence Day weekend with roaring engines, racing history, family fun, and a huge fireworks show.
On Friday, July 3, 2026, the historic Stockton track will host the Ron Strmiska Firecracker 90, a patriotic summer tradition honoring one of Northern California’s most beloved short-track racers, Ron “The Manteca Missile” Strmiska.
Known for his fearless driving style, sportsmanship, and success on the track, Strmiska became a fan favorite and a true icon of West Coast racing. The annual Firecracker 90 keeps his legacy alive while giving today’s drivers a chance to compete under the lights on Stockton 99 Speedway’s famous quarter-mile oval.
Fans can look forward to a full night of exciting racing, including Stockton Pro Late Models, Legends of 99, and Fast Kar Solutions Mini Modifieds. After the final laps, the celebration will continue with a huge fireworks show lighting up the Stockton sky.
This year’s event will also include a special keepsake for racing fans. A limited-edition Ron Strmiska commemorative poster, created exclusively for the 2026 Firecracker 90, will be available while supplies last. Tickets are $25 for adults ages 16-59, $20 for juniors ages 11-15, seniors 60 and older, and military members with ID. A $70 Family Pack includes admission for two adults and two juniors. Kids 10 and under are admitted free with a paid adult.
