Breastfeeding mothers in the Stockton area will have an opportunity to help provide lifesaving nutrition to vulnerable infants during a community milk drive hosted by Mothers’ Milk Bank California and Delta Health Care WIC Stockton.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 4662 Precissi Lane, Suite 500, Stockton.
The community milk drive invites eligible breastfeeding mothers to begin the screening process to become human milk donors and donate frozen breast milk for premature and medically fragile babies. The Stockton event is part of a series of milk drives being held across California and Nevada in recognition of National Breastfeeding Month.
According to Mothers’ Milk Bank California, a single donor can provide vital nutrition for dozens of infants who may be unable to receive enough milk from their own mothers.
During the event, prospective donors can complete an initial pre-screening to determine whether they are eligible to donate. Families will also be able to learn more about how donor human milk is collected, safely processed and distributed to hospitals and healthcare providers.
Mothers interested in participating are encouraged to begin the pre-screening process before attending. Staff members will be available at the event to answer questions, explain the next steps and help make the donation process as smooth as possible.
The milk drive will also give the community an opportunity to hear directly from donor mothers and Mothers’ Milk Bank California staff about the impact donor milk can have on infant health.
Founded in 1974, Mothers’ Milk Bank California is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving infant health through the collection, pasteurization and distribution of safe donor human milk. The organization works with more than 150 hospitals and healthcare providers and serves families throughout California and beyond.
