Summer Reading Program at the Troke Branch Library

The Margaret Troke Library presents this year’s Summer Reading Program, “Every Hero Has a Story” from June 1 – July 31. The Summer Reading Program is to encourage everyone to read during the summer months. The library will host a variety of themed activities for children, teens, and adults that encourage and support a love of reading. Participants also can win prizes for reaching their reading goals.

Themed events include:

  • Thursday, June 4, 6 pm: Summer Reading Kickoff Party
  • Thursday, June 11, 6 pm: Jungle James Animal Adventures
  • Thursday, June 25, 6 pm: Piccolo Puppet Players
  • Thursday, July 9, 6 pm: Superhero Arts& Crafts
  • Thursday, July 16, 6 pm: Stockton Police K9 Unit
  •  Thursday, July 23, 6 pm: Otis and the All-American Magic Show
  •  Thursday, July 30, 6 pm: End of Summer Reading Super Hero Ice Cream Social

These free programs are provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Stockton Public Library. The Margaret Troke Library is a part of the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library and is located at 502 W. Benjamin Holt Drive in Stockton.
