The October 24 beautification morning connects neighborhood volunteers and Pacific participants with a shared outdoor space.

What could a few hours of your Saturday do for a neighborhood park? At Weberstown East Park, Stockton residents will have a chance to answer that question by taking part in a morning devoted to caring for a shared outdoor space.

The City of Stockton Clean City Initiative is seeking volunteers for a beautification event on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The gathering takes place at the park, 4750 Kentfield Road.

The city’s volunteer listing calls for 50 participants. University of the Pacific is also connecting its campus community to the project through One Bus One Cause, with a separate registration process and transportation to and from the site.

A Morning with a Neighborhood Purpose

The city describes the work as a way to make the park greener and more welcoming. Its listing identifies the opportunity as a one-time commitment of a few hours, with training provided.

That makes the October 24 gathering a specific way to participate in local park care. Residents can set aside one morning, join the effort and contribute time to a place within Stockton.

The listing welcomes a range of volunteers, including children, teens, public groups and older adults. Families planning to bring children should review the participation instructions before registering.

Pacific Connects Students with Local Service

For the University of the Pacific community, One Bus One Cause offers another route to the same park project. The university’s announcement highlights volunteer hours and the opportunity to meet fellow students while helping care for a local park.

Pacific says transportation is provided to and from the volunteer site, with limited seats. Participants using that program should reserve a place through the university’s event registration rather than assume transportation is available to all community volunteers.

The connection places campus volunteers alongside a city effort, turning a morning away from class into time spent contributing to Stockton’s shared spaces.

Before You Head to the Park

The city asks volunteers to dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Participants should be ready for outdoor work and to get a little dirty.

Each volunteer must complete a separate release form. When completing one for a minor, use the participant’s name. The city’s volunteer listing provides the participation instructions and a link to the form.

Pacific participants can direct questions about the university program to [email protected]. The university confirms the morning schedule of 8:30–11:30 a.m.
