Wine, food, music and a summer evening in one of Stockton's picturesque neighborhoods will come together for a cause on Saturday, August 15.
The annual Moonlight Sip & Stroll returns from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Classics along Heron Lakes Drive, bringing together wineries, restaurants and community supporters to benefit Hospice of San Joaquin.
The long-running event is presented by the Stockton Butterfly Auxiliary.
Guests will stroll through the Brookside neighborhood while sampling beverages and food from participating vendors and enjoying live music along the route.
Organizers say this year's event will feature more than 35 wineries and distilleries and food samples from more than 40 local restaurants, making the fundraiser as much a showcase of the region's culinary community as a benefit for hospice care.
A Night Out With a Purpose
Proceeds from the event support Hospice of San Joaquin and its Hospice House, which provides end-of-life care and support for patients and their families.
That charitable mission has helped make Sip & Stroll a longstanding Stockton summer tradition.
In addition to tastings and live entertainment, guests will have opportunities to participate in a raffle for prizes.
Tickets are listed at $75, and organizers advise purchasing early because the event has historically sold out.
The event is strictly for guests 21 and older, including no admission for infants or children.
