Free November 1 celebration at Adventist Health Arena features basketball, kids' activities, giveaways and a preseason showdown with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Basketball season is almost back in Stockton, and the Stockton Kings are inviting the entire community to celebrate with a free afternoon of hoops, family fun and entertainment at Adventist Health Arena.
The Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, will host their annual NBA G League Fan Fest, presented by Wilson, on Sunday, November 1, 2026, giving fans an early look at the team before the new season officially tips off.
The celebration will feature a preseason matchup against the Santa Cruz Warriors, an expanded Kids Zone, music, contests, giveaways, mascot appearances and an opportunity to meet the players after the game.
According to the team's announcement, doors will open at 2 p.m., with the preseason game scheduled for 3 p.m.
Best of all, admission is free, making the event an affordable outing for families throughout Stockton and San Joaquin County.
More Than Just a Basketball Game
For families attending Fan Fest, the action will extend well beyond the basketball court.
The Kings are planning an expanded Kids Zone alongside community and partner booths, a photo booth, a content creation station and opportunities to explore the team's merchandise and ticket offerings.
Throughout the afternoon, fans can expect DJ music, T-shirt tosses, appearances by Kings mascot Dunkson, on-court contests and opportunities to appear on the arena's fan cameras.
There will also be chances to win prizes, including tickets to future Stockton Kings and Sacramento Kings games.
For younger basketball fans, the event offers an opportunity to experience the energy of professional basketball up close, from the excitement of the arena to the chance to cheer for their hometown team.
The festivities will continue after the final buzzer with a team address and a public autograph session, giving fans an opportunity to connect with the players.
A First Look at the New Stockton Kings Season
The Fan Fest celebration also serves as a preview of the Kings' upcoming 2026–27 season.
Stockton will face the Santa Cruz Warriors in the November 1 preseason game before meeting the same opponent for Opening Night on Saturday, November 7, at 5 p.m.
The regular-season calendar begins with the NBA G League's Tip-Off Tournament, and the Kings will once again play their home games primarily at Adventist Health Arena in downtown Stockton.
The team's newly announced promotional schedule includes celebrations highlighting the diversity, culture and community spirit of the 209.
Among the planned events are a 209-themed Opening Night celebration, Filipino Heritage Night, Black History Night, AAPI Night and other special promotions throughout the season.
For local fans, those themed games offer opportunities to enjoy basketball while recognizing the communities and traditions that make Stockton unique.
Basketball Learning Opportunities for Coaches
The November 1 festivities will also include a coaches clinic led by Stockton Kings coaching staff.
The clinic will give participants an opportunity to learn about the strategies and techniques used in professional basketball, with topics including warmups, defensive fundamentals, shooting drills, offensive spacing and player movement.
The program will also feature a question-and-answer session with Stockton Kings Head Coach Will Scott.
The clinic adds an educational component to the day's activities, particularly for people involved in coaching or developing young basketball players.
Additional participation details should be confirmed with the team.
More Family-Friendly Fun Throughout the Season
Fan Fest is only the beginning of the Kings' plans to make the upcoming season welcoming to local families.
The team's promotional calendar includes Family Feast Nights, with select concession items priced at $6 during designated home games.
Offerings are expected to include hot dogs, popcorn, fountain sodas and rotating slider selections, among other items.
The Kings will also bring holiday festivities to Adventist Health Arena during their Winter Wonderland game on December 1, featuring opportunities for photos with Santa Claus and the Grinch.
Additional theme nights and promotions are expected to be announced as the season progresses.
Together, the activities reflect the team's efforts to make Stockton Kings games about more than the final score, creating opportunities for families, young fans and community organizations to share in the experience.
A Community Celebration in Downtown Stockton
The Stockton Kings have become a familiar part of the city's sports and entertainment scene, bringing NBA G League basketball to downtown Stockton and connecting local fans with the Sacramento Kings organization.
Events such as Fan Fest provide an opportunity for residents who have never attended a Kings game to experience the arena atmosphere without the cost of admission.
Whether families come for the basketball, the Kids Zone, the giveaways or simply an afternoon together, the November 1 celebration offers a chance to welcome a new season while supporting Stockton's hometown professional basketball team.
