The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) held a statewide Litter Removal Day and Enforcement Day on Thursday, April 21, 2016, to pick up litter, trash and debris along the state highway system and to educate the public about this costly issue.

In March, 2016 The Haggin Museum loaned five paintings to Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan. The paintings will be displayed in the Speaker’s office throughout his term.

Fireworks classified as “Safe and Sane” by the State Fire Marshal are approved for sale and use in the City of Stockton. Safe and Sane Fireworks are generally described as fireworks that do not explode or leave the ground and carry a special State Fire Marshal label identifying them a s Safe and Sane.
