For the first time in 2013, the Pacific women's volleyball team suffered defeat at home in the Alex G. Spanos Center as the Tigers fell 3-2 to Pepperdine on Thursday, Oct. 10. The loss was the Tigers' fourth-straight in WCC play as Pacific fell to 9-8 overall and 2-4 in conference action while the Waves improved to 9-6 on the year and 3-4 in the WCC. At home the Tigers dropped to 5-1.

UCP of San Joaquin, Calaveras & Amador Counties celebrated the completion of the World Cerebral Palsy Challenge today. The World CP Challenge is a four-week fitness event to raise awareness and support for the estimated 17 million people living with cerebral palsy around the world. This year, more than 640 teams and 1,900 people participated.

 The Pacific Field Hockey team will head to Iowa City, Iowa for a pair of contests against Big Ten conference opponents this weekend. The action starts Saturday at 12pm as Pacific takes on Indiana at Iowa's Grant Field.

The Stockton Arena, managed by SMG Stockton, was recently ranked in the top 150 of venues worldwide for ticket sales in the 3rd quarter of 2013 by Pollstar Magazine, an industry publication.  Worldwide, Stockton Arena came in at #148 and domestically, #86.  Both numbers represent the highest ranking ever for the Stockton Arena.

SICL, Stockton Institute for Continued Learning, will mark its 15th anniversary with a luncheon and program Friday, Oct. 25 at 11:30 a.m. in Danner Hall on the Delta College Campus.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will alternately close the northbound and southbound on and off-ramps on Interstate 5 from Hammer Lane to the Sacramento/San Joaquin County line for highway construction. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.
