San Joaquin Delta College's Stockton campus, and South Campus at Mountain House in Tracy will close for the holiday break Tuesday, Dec. 24 through Jan. 5, 2014. Both campuses will re-open for business on Monday, Jan. 6, at 8 a.m.
Thanks to customers, merchants and volunteers at Stockton’s Lincoln Center, many people in our community will enjoy Christmas just a little bit more this year. The center’s food, coat and sock drives, which have been taking place at Christmastime for three years now, brought in thousands of pounds of food and hundreds of coats and socks.

The Stockton Thunder (13-8-0-3) travel south to take on their Pacific Division rivals the Ontario Reign (17-3-1-3) tonight at Citizens Business Bank Arena. It’s the first of three games in three nights between the two squads with both teams traveling to Stockton for a meeting on Saturday night before returning to Ontario for a Sunday match-up. Delta College's Board of Trustees elected Taj M. Khan as its new president for 2013-14 at its Dec. 17 meeting. Mr. Khan assumed his duties as board president immediately after the vote, replacing Lisa Turner, who served out her one-year term as president.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Set for Sperry Road Extension Project
Members of the public are invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate completion of the Sperry Road Extension Project, which provides a connection between State Route 99 and Interstate 5. The ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., tomorrow, Thursday, December 19, 2013, weather permitting, on the east side of the French Camp Road Interchange with Interstate 5.
