Stockton Kings Tip Off a New Season With a Celebration of the 209

The November 7 home opener pairs a Santa Cruz Warriors matchup with entertainment and community activities celebrating the region.

Event date: 11/7/2026 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Export event

A home opener gives fans a fresh scoreboard and a shared place to begin again. This year, the Stockton Kings are also making the opening night invitation explicitly local: come celebrate the 209.

The Kings will host the Santa Cruz Warriors at 5 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Adventist Health Arena. The theme, Opening Night: A 209 Celebration, is presented by Sutter Health and includes regionally themed entertainment and community activities on the Fan Deck.

For Stockton residents, the attraction combines professional basketball with a gathering built around the place the team calls home. A seat in the arena is a way to follow the game alongside neighbors, whether someone studies every possession or is introducing a child to live basketball.

Basketball with a local connection

The Stockton Kings are the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. That relationship gives local fans a team to follow within the NBA’s developmental league, close to home in downtown Stockton.

Opening night’s community emphasis also sets a tone for the season. The announced promotional calendar includes celebrations of local heroes, cultural communities, education and accessibility, suggesting several points of connection for residents whose interests extend beyond the standings.

Fans should treat those later theme nights as separate dates. The November 7 announcement specifically promises 209-themed entertainment and Fan Deck activities; it does not identify every attraction or performer for that evening.

Two different November basketball outings

The home opener is separate from the team’s November 1 Fan Fest. That earlier event is a free preseason gathering, while November 7 is a ticketed opening-night game.

The distinction matters when making family plans. Activities announced for Fan Fest should not be assumed to carry over to opening night. Likewise, the team’s Family Feast concession promotions apply to designated games rather than automatically to every home date.

Planning a night at the arena

The November 7 game begins at 5 p.m. at Adventist Health Arena, 248 W. Fremont Street, Stockton. Check the team’s official ticket listing for current seat availability, prices and fees, along with arena entry information before leaving home.

Tickets are available through the link in the official team announcement and at the arena box office. The team’s front office can be reached at 888-KNGS-209.

For a city’s fans, an opener is an opportunity to start a new season of shared routines: meeting friends, finding a seat and watching the first possession together. The Kings’ 209 theme puts Stockton and its neighbors at the center of that invitation.
