If you have ever wanted a reason to get outside, meet your neighbors, do a little good, and then reward yourself with coffee, donuts, and an Easter celebration full of smiles, Yosemite Street Village has you covered.

The neighborhood group is inviting the community to take part in two back-to-back spring happenings that are all about community spirit: the 7th Annual Neighborhood Spring Clean Up on Saturday, March 28, followed by the 6th Annual Yosemite Street Village Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4.

And honestly, it sounds like the kind of cheerful neighborhood energy we could all use a little more of.

First up is the spring clean up, happening from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 926 N. Yosemite Street in Stockton. Volunteers will help pull weeds, pick up litter, and plant flowers as the neighborhood gets ready to look its best for the season. Organizers say participants will meet under Umbrella Alley for coffee and donuts before getting to work, and everyone who lends a hand will receive free compost. Guests are encouraged to bring gardening tools and wear comfortable clothes with closed-toe shoes.

It is the kind of volunteer opportunity that feels less like a chore and more like a neighborhood hangout with a purpose. A little digging, a little sweeping, a little flower-planting, a little chatting with neighbors — suddenly the block looks brighter and the community feels closer. RSVP!

Then comes the fun part.

On Saturday, April 4, 2026, Yosemite Street Village will host its 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, with the egg hunt starting at 10 a.m. and free crafts and block activities beginning at 10:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the community while supplies last, and organizers are promising a festive morning filled with joy, laughter, and hidden treasures.

Families can look forward to more than just the hunt itself. The event will also include arts and crafts, sweet treats, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny, giving kids plenty of reasons to show up with baskets in hand and excitement in full bloom. With colorful activities and a whole block coming alive, it is easy to see why this has become one of Yosemite Street Village’s favorite traditions of the year.

What makes the event especially sweet is that it is powered by the neighborhood itself. Organizers say the free celebration is made possible by community donations, Yosemite Street Village businesses, and support from Councilmember Mario Enríquez. In other words, this is one of those grassroots Stockton events where neighbors truly make the magic happen.

To help keep that magic going, Yosemite Street Village is also currently collecting donations for the Easter event. Donations can be dropped off at Bennet’s Coffee and Yosemite Street Music to help fill eggs and make the day even more special for local kids.

There is something refreshing about events like these. They are simple in the best possible way. People show up. Neighbors pitch in. Kids laugh. The block feels alive. And for a few spring mornings, the community gets to celebrate what makes it special: people who care enough to clean it up, show up, and share joy with one another.

So whether you are ready to grab a rake, donate a few goodies, or simply come enjoy the egg hunt with your family, Yosemite Street Village has a place for you.

Spring is arriving in Stockton — and on Yosemite Street, it is arriving with flowers, friendship, and probably a few chocolate eggs.
