Stockton is set to burst with laughter, learning, and community spirit as the 28th Annual Family Day at the Park returns to Weber Point on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. — and best of all, it’s absolutely free.
Hosted by The Library and Literacy Foundation of San Joaquin County and The Record, this beloved tradition promises a full day of activities designed to bring families together. Nearly 100 local businesses and community organizations will be on hand with hands-on projects for kids of all ages — from colorful arts and crafts to interactive games, storytelling corners, and lively recreational activities.
Entertainment All Day
The fun kicks off with the mascot parade at 10:15 a.m., where everyone is invited to join in the march. Throughout the day, the grounds will come alive with street performers, crowd-favorite Sparkles the Clown, the mesmerizing Ravioli the Magician, and surprise appearances from beloved mascots. On the main stage, the Cesar Chavez Music Department will provide a continuous soundtrack of live music to keep the energy high.
A Storybook Experience
For book lovers, King Author’s Court will be a can’t-miss stop. Children’s authors and illustrators will share their stories, offer creative workshops, sign books, and answer questions, inspiring young readers and sparking imaginations.
Why You Should Go
Whether you’re chasing balloon animals, getting your face painted, marching alongside your favorite mascot, or listening to a story told by its author, Family Day at the Park offers a perfect mix of entertainment and enrichment for the whole community.
