One thousand pounds (1,000 lbs.) of Catfish will be planted at Oak Grove Regional Park later this week thanks to the Fishing In The City Program through the California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife (DFW).

The Pacific student-athletes wrapped up a stellar 2017-18 academic year in not only their respective sports, but in the classroom as well.

With an exciting start to the season that led to the clinching of a first-half Division Title, the Ports have earned a spot in the 2018 California League Playoffs, which will begin in September with a best-of-five game Divisional Series. 

Starting next week, San Joaquin Delta College will join Verizon Innovative Learning, the education initiative of the Verizon Foundation, to introduce more girls, especially those in rural parts of the country, to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills.

Gospel Center Rescue Mission (GCRM) recently received a $1,350,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco’s 2018 Affordable Housing Program (AHP), sponsored by BAC Community Bank. The grant will fund Hope Housing at GCRM, a project that will provide housing to formerly homeless women and their children. When completed, this will be one of the largest Christian-based, long-term, resident regeneration programs in North America.

Stocktonian Michael P. Duffy will be honored with the 2018 Goodwill Helping Hands Award at a special Evening of Good Will event on Thursday, September 13 at the Stockton Golf and Country Club.
