The Stockton Maritime Museum invites you to experience a piece of living history! After more than a decade of dedicated restoration, the USS Lucid (MSO-458) – the last surviving oceangoing Aggressive-class minesweeper in the United States – is now about 85% restored and ready to welcome visitors.
Two Tours Only Each Year
This is one of only two opportunities in 2025 to climb aboard and explore every level of this remarkable vessel. Knowledgeable veterans and passionate volunteers will be your guides, leading you through the ship’s many compartments and sharing firsthand stories of life at sea.
A Community Effort
Discover the incredible work done by local students and volunteers from across the country who have brought this mighty ship back to life. The USS Lucid isn’t just a museum artifact – it’s the largest restoration project in Stockton’s history and a true community achievement.
More Than a Tour
After your guided tour, relax on deck with a complimentary hot dog and soda. You’ll also get a glimpse of the museum’s exciting future plans for the USS Lucid and beyond.
