Pacific Swimming: Tiger Women Swim Tough But Fall At Nevada

Swimming their second meet of the season, the Pacific women held strong but in the end fell 135-70 at Nevada on Friday, Oct. 25. The Tigers picked up a trio of wins but the depth of the Wolf Pack was too much to overcome. Despite the two teams competing in the pool, the day was more about coming together as both teams swam with SMS on their shoulders in support of Sparks Middle School and in support of those effected by the tragic school shooting on Oct. 21.

Haunting Piece, "Trail of Tears", on Symphony's Second Classic Program

The Stockton Symphony opens its second Classics concert of the season with two beautiful examples of French symphonic repertoire: Ravel’s “Le Tombeau de Couperin,” and Bizet’s “Symphony in C Major,” juxtaposed with a very recent flute concerto, “Trail of Tears,” by American composer Michael Daugherty. The vivid contrast makes for an extremely intriguing and satisfying evening.
